We would love for you to come to see our puppies!  We are only 2-3 hrs. from Chicago, Indianapolis,
and Toledo.  However, we understand if you need to have your puppy shipped.   If you would like
ground service, we may be able to arrange it, but it will cost a bit more.   Your puppy will come with a
puppy pac valued at $65 - $75.  It includes a bag of diamond puppy, or Eukanuba small breed
puppy food (depending on which one we have been feeding them.),  a cuddle toy, and chew toy, a
liberal sized crate with food and water bowls attatched (w/ shipping), warm bed, tooth brush glove,
applicable registration papers, health record, info, guarantee, and plenty of TLC!

We breed for puppies that will be loved and respected pets.  (If you are also interested in breeding;
please be honest and let us know when you initially contact us so that we can better serve you with
information and the proper paper work.   Also, we sometimes charge more for a puppy that we are
selling with full AKC registration.)  We ask that you would carefully follow our health
recommendations, as well as making sure that every one who comes in contact with the new puppy
shows the proper respect for your new puppy.  Puppies can become stressed if mistreated, or
neglected, and may not show any symptoms of their stress, but it can affect them negatively.
Remember, your puppy needs lots of rest and reassurance from you.  Every puppy is different and
has different needs.  Be attentive and learn your puppy in the first few days.  This is bonding time
for both of you!  Other than taking puppy to the vet for a new puppy checkup, keep your puppy at
home for the first few days. Your new puppy deserves the best that you can give!  When you take
your puppy home he is then dependant on you for his needs, and he will respond best if cared for
properly!
I do not hold puppies without a deposit that are under 7wks.   Full payment must be made when puppy is 7wks.   Deposits are non
refundable unless a problem would develop with the puppy, and then I would contact you as to refunding the deposit or transferring it
to another puppy.  I accept paypal or postal money order sent overnight.
Shipping~
If you are going to need to have your puppy shipped to you, please read this info.

*I will need the full name of the person that will be picking the puppy up from the airport.  I will also
need a street address (P.O. box will not do) and contact phone number.  This info. is mandatory for
making flight arrangements for your puppy.

*Almost without exception, I make all of the shipping arrangements and take care of the details on my
end.  If, however, for some reason you want to make your own arrangements, that is fine, just let me
know and we can work out shipping differently to accommodate you.

*Since my husband is usually the one taking your puppy to the airport (which is an hour from my
house) I have to work with his schedule.  I will need two preferred ship dates to choose from and two
airport destinations to chose from.  We usually ship on Saturdays.

*Temperature will sometimes dictate a change in shipping plans, so please be flexible and
understanding.

*Please contact me as soon as the puppy arrives or as soon as a problem is detected in the shipping
schedule.  I ship with Delta's pets first program.  When I make the shipping arrangements I will send
you the phone number for Delta and the tracking number for the shipment so that you can confirm,
make sure you know where and when to pick up, and track your puppy once he or she has been
checked into the airport here.  Sometimes delays or minor schedule changes are unavoidable so plan
a little extra time for pickup just in case this occurs.  It is a good idea to monitor your puppies
progress as he makes his way across the friendly skies!  If a situation arises making it impossible for
your puppy to reach your airport by closing time, Delta will take care of boarding your puppy.  I have
only had this happen to one of my puppies once.  The puppy made it the next day and was very well
taken care of at the boarding facility that Delta used in the city where the puppy had to spend the
night.

*My vet will not see puppies for their travel health certificate exam until the puppy is 2 months old,
which usually works out to 8 to 8 1/2 wks. of age.  I will do my best to get your puppy to you as soon
as possible, but it is against the law in most states to ship a puppy before he or she is 8 wks., not to
mention the fact that most puppies are too young to travel in this way before this time.  When a puppy
is shipped at 8 1/2 wks. to 9 wks. he or she is just then coming out of a fear-of-new-things stage, and
has also just acquired his or her full immunity.  To ship a puppy that is younger is not fair to the puppy,
and is risky.  Do not trust a breeder that is willing to ship a puppy before the puppy is 8 wks.

*Many people ask me if shipping is safe and humane.  I believe it is, or I would not do it!  There have
been very few cases of tragedy concerning this means of transport, but those few stories are told
again and again, and are greatly exaggerated, not to mention they occurred long ago.  The area in
which the puppies are shipped on the airplane is air quality, and temperature controlled, and
monitored.  If any thing is found to be not in working order, the puppy is denied the flight, and has to
wait for the next one.  The Safe Air Travel for Animals act was passed by congress in 2000 which
dictates safety standards for making it safe for animals to travel by air.  It also requires statistics to
be published.  Last year in a bout a 6 month time frame a quarter of a million pets traveled by air.
There were 14 reported deaths.  These statistics, by the way, include exotic birds, rodents, chickens,
cats, reptiles ect.  There were also 4 injuries and 6 escapes.  When you compare these numbers to
the approx. 250,000 pets that traveled safely and with no incident you can see that it is relatively safe
for pets to fly.  Most of the deaths or injuries were because an animal had been sedated which is not
allowed on most airlines.

*I always try to work towards finding flights that will be non-stop, but most of the time there will be
one stop.

*We try to make the trip as comfortable as possible for the puppy.  We layer the crate with paper,
and tear some up into strips so that if there is a mess the puppy can cover it with strips of paper so
that he or she does not become messy.  We include a cuddly bed for the smaller puppies.  We give
them one or two toys, and a chew, so that they can entertain themselves when they are not sleeping.
The soft toy is sprayed with a maternal hormone that makes them relax and dream of mom!  We also
cut their nails before the trip so that they do not break a nail if they scratch around a bit.

*Your puppy will come in a crate that you can keep and use to continue his or her crate training.  Any
paper work will either come attached to the crate, or I will mail it to you when I send the puppy to you.
Also there will be a bag of puppy food attached to the crate.  I recommend that you have a tube of
nutri cal vitamin to give to your puppy when he or she arrives to spike blood sugar levels, especially if
the puppy is extremely tiny.  I also recommend that you have some bottled water, a couple of towels,
and a collar and leash.  Collars usually come in adjustable sizes, so the exact fit is not required.
If you are not ready to receive your puppy at the time that he or she will be ready to be shipped, or
picked up, I will hold the puppy free of charge for 1 to 2 wks. longer.  After that time I will charge a
boarding fee.  This arrangement will need to be worked out with me ahead of time.  But if you have
planned a shipping or pick up date, and then have to push it back, I will need to be contacted
immediately and arrangements must be made with me within a couple of days of the pickup time.  I
know that things can come up, and I am very understanding of this as long as you give me notice of the
situation as soon as possible.
